Makenna celebrated her one month birthday yesterday. According to Bubi it is also her full moon which is a Chinese tradition similar to the Western world's baby shower but the Chinese wait until the baby is one month old to celebrate. We went to the doctors in Eldersburg and I was so excited to see how much my little girl weighed and grew in three short weeks. When we got to the doctors we heard screaming babies but Makenna was as peaceful as usual and I was loving every minute of it. Her first doctors appointment was three weeks ago and she weighed 7 lbs and 14 ounces and 20 1/2 inches long. Well she now weighs 9 lbs 6 ounces which puts her in the 65th percentile and she is 22 1/2 inches long, which puts her in the 88th percentile! She is going to be tall like her Mommy!
Makenna cooperated so well (besides peeing on the table when her diaper was off) and let me get through my list of questions I had for the doctor, who I think is amazing. It will be nice when we are living in Eldersburg and only a hop skip and a jump away. Not looking forward to our appointment next month when she has to get shots.
